Today, at 1:12 pm we finished redoing the hardwood floors! A task we thought would only take one week took two. But, we finished it! We ended up putting four coats of goop on the floors in most of the house, and 5 on the kitchen floor. Sanded between coats twice. Hand washed those floors timeless times. And all of this was after the actual sanding of the floors.
Using the box sander was pretty hard for me. It weighed as much as I do, so I was never sure who was winning. Ryu weighs about the same as well, but...he's the MAN! Then we spent about two days sitting on the floor hand sanding the bits the big sander didn't get. But, bottom line, we are DONE! However, one pro on-line says we should redo the top coat every 5-7 years. Seven is looking better and better!
Off to RELAX for a bit!
